Henrique Alvim Corrêa's illustrations for Herbert Wells's The War of the Worlds are perhaps the most recognizable illustration series ever produced for this novel. And my hyperfixation on tripods meant that I would attempt to recreate Corrêa's tripod design sooner or later.
